3-25. PREPARATION FOR PROCEDURE a. After draping is completed, you will bring the Mayo stand into position over the patient. This indicates that you are prepared to assist with the surgery. Ensure that the Mayo stand is high enough that it does not rest on the patient. Figure 3-30 shows the Mayo stand being placed into position with sufficient room between patient and stand.
